Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS) was formed at the end of 2016 as a contractual joint venture between five acute NHS Foundation Trusts: Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust

BSPS runs a unified IT platform that integrates with local platforms in these hospitals and GP practices in Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and South-West London, which accounts for the majority of the work of the laboratories.

In addition, laboratory services are provided for private hospitals in Surrey, Hampshire, Hounslow, Richmond and Twickenham and Berkshire. BSPS also receives samples from other NHS Trusts and the independent sectors throughout the UK. BSPS provides Point of Care Analysers and testing to local community Hospitals, CCGs and healthcare service providers nationally.

2 Stellar's latest collaboration is providing BSPS with Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) and Consulting services to the incumbent Clinical Safety Team. With multiple important projects currently in-flight, we are providing support to deliver DCB0160 requirements for a prioritisation list of projects.

PROPMs provide a unique range and blend of services carefully proposed and tailored to "ensure projects deliver with more profit, more pace and less panic."

This includes project resourcing and recruitment, consulting, assurance and training services.

They can help with "recruiting stellar project professionals (all levels), properly training your existing PMs, or consulting on how to establish or improve a project and programme portfolio, which we’ve proven up to a 216 concurrent project portfolio in an NHS Trust IT Digital Services function recently."

2 Stellar's latest collaboration sees us working closely with the PROPMs Team at Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS).

Medefer began in 2013 to create something new: a consultant-led virtual hospital that could receive GP referrals directly and manage entire patient pathways — safely, at scale, and integrated with the NHS. All done to remove avoidable waits from outpatient care whilst breaking down barriers by connecting patients to specialist care remotely and safely. In-person tests or treatments are coordinated through a trusted local and national partner network, bringing hospital-level expertise to the community, in the majority of cases, closer to home for patients.

2 Stellar had the privilege of collaborating with the team, to integrate clinical safety and risk management throughout the organisation. Our ongoing relationship with the visionary CEO and CSO/Head of Clinical Governance & Quality remains strong and continues to inspire us.

Medefer have recently been acknowledged as a key contributor to shaping the strategy of the landmark launch of NHS Online.

Magentus is a global health technology company, with a range of connected clinical systems, including CRIS (Radiology), EuroKing (Maternity EPR), LIMS (Pathology), CHARM (Oncology). Our collaboration with the Product Teams was instrumental, and we actively engaged with stakeholders, including customers and the clinical community.

2 Stellar played a pivotal role in the complete replacement of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system at Sheffield General Hospital, utilising Oracle Health Millennium. Initially, joining the team in a Transformation Leadership capacity, this later transitioned to overseeing System Testing and Integration within the Trust Workstreams, in order to facilitate a successful go-live in August 2025.

2 Stellar had the privilege of supporting the initial development of the Nervecentre Outpatient module for UHL, in the role of Clinical Project Manager (Outpatients). We collaborated with the various development workstream Project Teams, including PAS, Clinical Documentation, Benefits Realisation, Training and more, to ensure 'joined up' processes.
